President's Message

Dear Nature Fans,

As many of us know, urbanization, global warming, climate change, desertification and increased forest fires are among the main elements damaging the balance of nature. It is crucial to enable the “protection-use balance” so that next generations may benefit from the opportunities offered by nature and the species may continue to exist.

I believe that in order to take a step forward and implement policies for sustainable development and environment, the role of governments, local governments, private sector, and especially civic society gains great importance. 

Unless the conscious and responsibility of protecting the environment become widespread, water and soil contamination will continue to be a serious vital problem in Turkey. It is our responsibility to minimize the environmental contamination and to contribute environment to be protected. In this sense, it is not only the national and humanistic duty of the government’s but also all the citizens’ living in this country to plant tree and protect the forests. No doubt that the greatest heritage we will leave to our children will be a livable environment.                                                                          
If we cannot compensate for the destruction we cause in the environment, it is inevitable for natural balance to go worse.

We have to protect and extend the forests which have vital importance for protection of human health, erosion and air pollution along with proving the need of wood, timber, cellulose, paper, resin etc. If we want to live in very green world, we must spread this conscious to all of our friends and neighborhood and especially to our children. We should turn planting a tree into a hobby that makes us happy such as reading a book, sport, listening to music or traveling.

I sincerely present my absolute gratitude and thanks to the nature and forest lovers and institutions that have contributed in planting, to Ministry of Environment and Forestry which has never withheld its knowledge and support since the day that our Foundation was established and to all our subsidiaries.
