Carbon-Free Vehicles

All living things are affected by global warming. The best solution to reduce the negative effects of greenhouse gases is to plant saplings and create new forest areas and thus new sink areas.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

To draw attention to the environment before individual and corporate responsibilities become necessities in our country, to create new forests by raising public awareness with concrete steps, and to leave a livable world to future generations.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

To neutralize one-year carbon emission of the vehicles by planting saplings after calculating the carbon emission of the vehicle fleets of the companies with the Carbonmeter available on the website www.egeorman.org.tr. To leave a livable world to future generations by planting saplings that will absorb the greenhouse gases released by vehicles into the atmosphere.

PROJECT DETAILS

The works will be carried out in cooperation with the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs and Aegean Forest Foundation. Sapling planting will start during the planting season (between November and March). For the following 5 years, maintenance of the saplings will be ensured by the Foundation.
After the opening ceremony to be held in the afforestation area, a joint bulletin will be announced to the public. A sign will be placed in the afforestation area in the size determined by the related circulars of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs.

The project will first be announced to the public through the social media, written and visual media with the protocol signing ceremony. A sticker with the logo that we have agreed to print will be given for each vehicle. For donations of 1,000 saplings or more, a sapling planting ceremony will be held with participants in the afforestation site.
